My name is Alicia González, founder of The-Art-of-Science. During my academic work I discovered how science can be a source of beauty and art. I photograph (laser) light interacting on a molecular level with physical matter and then process these images in an artistic manner with imaging software. The high-end quality of my prints is a result of close collaboration with Dutch art studio 'Re-Art', a leading fine art print studio for artists, museums and art galleries. Re-art is a founding member of the Giclée Printers Europe association ('GPE'). Master Printer and founder Marcel Salome is an international authority when it comes to art printing. Because of his extensive knowledge of reproduction photography, lithography, art printing and color management he knows how to get results that competitors are unable to match.
My art prints are available in various sizes and both as Giclée Prints on art paper as well as ChromaLuxe prints on aluminum. All limited edition prints come with a certificate of authenticity, both signed by the artist as well as by the Master Printer. The certificate also states the work's number and total edition size. The certificate therefore is a proof of both quality and exclusivity.
Giclée technique means that several layers of high quality acid free ink is applied on art print paper or canvas. This concept of multi-layer printing can give the art print the actual 'feel' of a painting. Printed on heavy Hahnemuhle art paper my works get a beautiful warm look and you keep looking as if it were a painting.
The basis for the ChromaLuxe printing technique are aluminum panels, which by means of heat-technique (sublimation) are provided with water-resistant inks to be contained in the top layer. The result is spectacular: a superior final product that has no equal in terms of contrast, unparalleled intensity and depth of colors, durability and longevity.
