This digital artwork is full of colorful intensity and luminous power due to the use of the laser. The scientific experiment that underlies this work is the fluorescence of several fruits: a grape and a carrot after being irradiated both at the same time with different diode lasers. The carrot was irradiated with a 532nm green diode laser since the b-carotene (carotenoid present in the carrot in large quantities) absorbs at this wavelength. On the other hand, the grape was irradiated in the other direction with a 447nm blue diode laser, because there are several antioxidants as the trans-resveratrol present in the grape that absorbs at this particular wavelength. This produced a fluorescence phenomenon in which the photons are emitted. After detailed artistic digital manipulation and seeing the great power of light I got to the conclusion that this was the perfect point over its line, full of photons in its perfect pointillism or digital impressionism state so characteristic for my work.
