This is one of my most abstract and minimalist art works. The illustrated image looks very simple, a large point with several lines perpendicular to each other that visually reflect the image of a musical note, perhaps 'Re', a point with a line below. However, the science behind the image is more complicated. The image represents the fluorescence emitted by the intermediate product formed in an enzymatic solution of tyrosinase, an enzyme in charge of synthesizing melanin in our skin, and an antioxidant after being irradiated with a blue diode laser.
